Question: How Do You Select the Right TheraTog Model?
– From Courtney Smith
TheraTogs have some general guidelines when choosing the right TheraTogs that are right for you:
- If the therapist/practitioner can effect a change in the client’s stability, alignment, mobility, or motor control through unforced handling during a therapy session, it’s likely that this change can be replicated and supported outside the session by a properly configured TheraTogs strapping system
- Caregivers and clinicians also use TheraTogs as an extra pair of hands during positioning efforts, or to support other goals during clinical or exercise sessions. If you’re struggling to effectively manage positioning with a wheelchair can be a very useful adjunct to your current management strategies.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not use TheraTogs in the presence of tachycardia, bone fracture or pool therapy.
