    Details

The EasyStand Glider provides state-of-the-art Active Standing™ technology that can be found in no other sit to stand standers.

    Designed for Active Standing
Active standing provides lower body range of motion and upper body strengthening. Unlike passive standers, the active standing Glider product allows users to move the handles with their arms, which creates a reciprocal movement in the legs. The full range seat on the Glider stander has hinged break-away sections for each leg that allow full leg extension while standing. This advanced active stander enhances the medical benefits of standing and keeps the body in shape for medical breakthroughs. Numerous research studies suggest that use of an active standing frame can positively affect an individual’s health.

    Designed for Easier Transfers
The Glider product features a wide concave seat and flip-up kneepads that make transfers easier. A positioning bar provides a sturdy grip during the transfer. If needed, a patient lift can also be used to transfer a person into the Glider product.

    Designed for Adjustability
It’s easy to customize the Glider stander for individuals of various heights and abilities for use in a rehab setting. The adjustable resistance cylinders are accessible to the user while they are in the standing position, so they can easily adjust the resistance in twelve different settings.  The seat depth, back angle, footplate height, kneepad height, and handle height are also easily adjustable.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add a Glider to my Standard Evolv unit?
The Evolv and the Glider are completely different units.  To retrofit the Glider front would be very difficult and costly, therefore we do not offer this as an option.

What is the warranty on the EasyStand Glider?
The warranty is five years on the frame, two years on the hydraulic actuator and 90 days on the upholstery and other components.

How do I adjust the tension?
The resistance cylinders have markings from 1 to 12 with 1 being the lowest. You need to twist the top of each cylinder to adjust the tension. You can also disengage the cylinders for no tension at all.

Can quadriplegics use the EasyStand Glider?
Yes they can. Many have done so with some minor alterations. Others have a caretaker or assistant help to move the Glide handles to create leg movement.

Can I use the Glider if I have strength in only 1 arm?
It is very difficult to use the Glider if you have limited or no use in one arm. It can be done, however it is difficult. A caregiver could help if needed.

I love my Glider, but my hips always shift to one side. What can I do?
The hip supports work great for keeping the body aligned while standing.  They come in two width ranges to best fit your need.

What benefits will I receive from the Glider over the EasyStand Evolv?
You will get active standing over passive standing. Active standing will give you upper body strengthening and improved range of motion.

What is the best way to transfer into the Glider?
We have found that there are a number of ways people transfer into the Glider. One way is to bring your chair at a slight angle along side the Glider, secure the wheel locks on your chair, scoot up to the front of your chairs seat, place the inside leg into the footplate on the other side of the Glider and than transfer over. The leg should go right into place. Another way is to again come along side the Glider and transfer onto the Glider seat and then bring the legs back. We have learned that no one way is right and after a weeks use of the Glider the user tends to create their own technique.
