Description

Support every young child's first steps toward upright, independent mobility with the MiniWalk I and MiniWalk II Pediatric Gait Trainer — a premium, clinically designed anterior pediatric gait trainer engineered for young children and early walkers with physical disabilities, hypotonia, cerebral palsy, and developmental motor delays who are beginning their supported gait training journey and who benefit from the forward-facing frame support, intuitive operation, and confidence-building walking experience that the MiniWalk system delivers.

Available in two configurations — MiniWalk I and MiniWalk II — to accommodate different levels of postural support need and clinical presentation, the MiniWalk gait trainer range provides the early walking support infrastructure that physical therapists, occupational therapists, and early intervention specialists rely on to introduce supported upright ambulation safely, progressively, and motivatingly to the youngest children in pediatric gait training programs.

Key Benefits

  • Introduces supported walking to young and early-stage gait trainees — The MiniWalk's compact, child-appropriate design and intuitive forward-facing frame make it one of the most accessible and least intimidating gait training introductions available for young children who have little or no prior experience of upright supported walking — building the confidence, physical familiarity, and movement enthusiasm that motivates continued engagement with gait training goals.
  • Two configurations for different support levels and presentations — The MiniWalk I and MiniWalk II configurations provide different levels of postural support and frame geometry to accommodate the range of clinical presentations encountered in early pediatric gait training programs — allowing therapists to select the most appropriate configuration for each individual child's trunk control, postural stability, and gait training readiness, and to progress between configurations as the child's capacity develops.
  • Compact and lightweight for young pediatric users — The MiniWalk's compact frame dimensions and lightweight construction are specifically suited to the body size, strength, and mobility of young children — delivering a gait trainer that young users can maneuver, engage with, and enjoy without the physical effort and size mismatch that standard-size gait trainers create when used with the youngest and smallest early walkers.
  • Promotes upright weight-bearing and early ambulation experience — Every supported walking session in the MiniWalk provides the upright weight-bearing experience that is clinically recommended for children with limited independent standing and walking — delivering bone density development, hip formation support, lower limb muscle activation, and the cardiovascular benefits of upright posture alongside the active forward-progressing gait experience that distinguishes gait training from static standing.
  • Builds gait confidence and movement motivation — The experience of forward-progressing, self-initiated supported walking in the MiniWalk is profoundly motivating for young children who have had limited upright mobility experience — building the physical confidence, spatial awareness, and movement enthusiasm that drives ongoing participation in gait training sessions and that has developmental, social, and quality-of-life benefits that extend well beyond the therapy setting.
  • Adjustable to accommodate individual sizing and growth — The MiniWalk's adjustment features allow the gait trainer to be configured for each individual child's body dimensions and reconfigured as the child grows — extending the clinical lifespan of the equipment and delivering long-term value for families and therapy programs investing in early gait training infrastructure.
