Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology (AT) is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of children with a disabilities.  Assistive technology can help a child learn to read, speak or communicate with others. Our devices include augmentative communication devices, visual communication boards, VOCAS, computers or specialty keyboards.

AT helps students who have disabilities learn the material in a way that they can understand it and helps eliminate barriers that prevent them from being at the same level as their classmates.
