The Kaye Red Walker is the newest Posture Control Walker with a family-friendly design to appeal to young walkers and their families. This walker functions like the Kaye Posture Control Walkers, supporting the child's alignment and placing the child's center of mass within the base of support of the walker for safety and balance.

Both sizes have swivel front wheels, which can be locked for straight ahead tracking, and one way ratchet rear wheels. Accessories for this walker include forearm supports, pelvic stabilizer, swivel limiters and soft sling support. Folds for transporting and storage.

The Kaye Red Walker has been an excellent tool/toy for helping my son gain independence as a walker. The body of the walker looks like a toy and the walker is parked alongside the plasma car and seated scooter toy he also uses. We had some difficulty with the height adjusters as the metal button on one leg got stuck under the inside bar. I also feel like the sturdiness should not compromise the adjustability in the wheels and arms. I would like the wheels to have a quick release mechanism so that I do not need to use tools to release the swivel wheels, etc. We are adding an all aluminum, folding walker to our son's mobility collection because the weight and bulkiness of the Kaye Red walker makes it difficult to bring along most places, in spite of the fact that it folds. I would still like to see the colorful, "toy-look" considered for all children's mobility aids. Review by Shelby McKean / (Posted on 8/26/2013)
