The Teachable Touchables Texture Squares consist of 20 3-inch squares made of different materials, such as velcro, corduroy, satin, mesh, and more. There are 2 of each square, which makes it super handy for the activities listed on the included activity sheet. They also come in a drawstring fabric bag so cleanup is super easy and they don't get lost. Plus, the bag has a couple examples of the squares embroidered on it, which is super helpful if you have the bag hanging from a peg in a preschool or playroom. Children will automatically know what is in the bag without asking! I can see these squares being utilized all the way up to 6th grade! They would be wonderful for those students who still have difficulty sorting and classifying items. What a fantastic center for science and/or math! A nice addition to higher order level thinking! Overall, a great learning activity for students in PK-6th grade - so many variations and uses! Great job! Review by Crystal / (Posted on 8/26/2013)
