A simple book that helps teach the concept of color. Children can match both color to color, as well as color to object. For example, a picture of an orange fish would accompany a sentence that reads "The fish is" and the child must attach the orange swatch to complete the sentence.
What Color Is It? teaches students how to match, identify and label colors. Using 4 picture pages and 12 sentence pages students also learn to read their color words which are included in simple sentences. (ex: "The apple is red.") The colors are also taught by association.(ex: The "apple" is matched to the red square and the "red square" goes on the apple. This way when a student hears the word "red" he can "see" the red apple in his head and remember the colors more easily!) Click on the picture icon above to enlarge for better viewing.
