Interactive Communication Cards are a great way to guide a child’s communication development. Home & Health
This set of Interactive Communication Cards includes household chores, hygiene activities, cleaning and toileting materials, body parts and physical ailments.
This set includes juices, snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner foods, kitchen chores and utensils.
Recreation & Community
This set includes fun activities, things to do, places to go and community helpers such as firefighters and police officers.
Sensory & Social
This set includes sensory activities and needs, behaviors and emotions.
Each set of Interactive Communication Cards can be used to request wants and needs, express physical, sensory and emotional needs, to make choices, to ask questions pertaining to who, what, when, where and why, create sentences, and to create visual schedules. The cards can also be used as an augmentative communication device to develop expressive and receptive language. Words are printed on the front and back of each card to promote literacy skills.
Four sentence strips that relate to the vocabulary (I want, I need, I see, I feel, etc.) are included in each set to encourage communication in sentences. Each set comes with 120 laminated 2 x 2 inch picture/word cards, four sentence strips, cards depicting common words (yes, no, choice, all done, help, etc.), and 124 Velcro coins.
