This set of flashcards is designed to enable children to understand Who, What, When, Where and Why questions. This set has 8 events which have 5 corresponding Wh- questions in sequence. When events are broken down into structured sequences, children can better answer questions pertaining to their daily experiences. Examples include the beach, circus, movie theater restaurant, the beach, the petting zoo and more!
The child understands the value of “Wh” questions when events are broken down into structured questions. "Where do you see a movie?" "In a movie theater", is just a piece of arbitrary information. Putting questions into sequence gives meaning to the questions and helps the child understand an event. You can see a movie in a movie theater, you go to the concession stand to buy snacks, you can buy popcorn, you give your ticket to the usher before you see the movie, and you sit in a chair to watch the movie. These question sequences help a child make sense of their world.
