Made in the USA, Wikki Stix are non-toxic of course, and bring a fun and colorful approach to challenging issues. Because Wikki Stix are easy to peel up and reposition, they are virtually "mistake-free" which helps build self-esteem.

    • Perfect for making a raised border to show where to start and stop on the paper.... and to make coloring inside the lines easier.
    • Zip it up! Thread a Wikki through the hole on the zipper and twist. Makes it easier to pull up and down with the Wikki to hold onto.
    • Wrap a Wikki around the base of a pencil for use as a grip; also a reminder to "hold it down low".
    • Wikki Stix are a quiet and creative fidget tool, providing a calming effect which may help children better focus on classroom activities.
    • Wikkies may help generate verbal interaction, as children create while using them. This may also be helpful in the development of social skills, through tactilely engaging play.

    For Handwriting Skills:

    • Use for prewriting strokes, as well as to practice letter formation. Wikki Stix can also be used to trace prewriting shapes (especially good on laminated paper to be used repeatedly.)
    • Improve hand grasp and stability by wrapping 1/2 of a Wikki around the base of a pencil; also a good reminder to hold it "down low".
    • Create letters and numbers out of Wikki Stix and have student run his/her fingers over them for tactile input.
    • Use Wikki Stix to make borders when handwriting, to keep letters on the line, as well as to indicate where to start and stop on the paper. Can also be used to create boxes to keep letters in.

    Kinesthetic Learning Activities:

    • Write a letter or number on the chalkboard and have students reproduce the same design using Wikki Stix. Blindfold a student and have him/her identify the letter or number a classmate has made with Wikki Stix.

We had our 4 grand kids at a restaurant (11 of us altogether), which typically would have meant chaos, bedlam, and constant interruptions for attention. Then the owner brought out Wikki Stix for each. What followed was deep concentration and quiet activity in the kids that lasted all through the meal, indeed all weekend! Eating was almost an annoying interlude for them! Their creativity and concentration was amazing. The rest of us were so impressed! We actually got to talk and visit! Where have these been all these years? I'm buying some for gifts and toys. I can't recommend them highly enough! Much more educational and engaging than connect the dots or crayons. We visited my parents in Santa Fe this summer, and were given some wikki stix at a restaurant. When it was time to board the first of two long flights to get home, the kids wanted to play with the wikki stix instead of the load of bulky toys we brought with us. I was amazed! They were entertained throughout the very long day of flights, making endless variations of imaginative games and creations. I am sold. These things are great! Review by R. Wikki Stix can be just for fun. However, you can also use it to practice letter format and even make a "stencil" for practicing letter formation with a writing utensil. Review by Meg / (Posted on 8/26/2013)
My daughter got a pack of 8 in a kids meal. I had never heard of these, but she LOVES them. She makes eyeglasses, mermaids, her name, little people, and that's just with 8 of them. Not messy, no annoying sounds, and lots of fun to use. Sometimes simple toys are the best. Review by Sherrie Zoook / (Posted on 8/26/2013)
From a teacher's perspective, this product is great for use in the classroom or reinforcement at home. Children can find letters or sight words in books, and circle them with the wikki stix (without harming the books). Children can even create letters or numbers and then do a shading with paper and crayon over it. Lots of fun! Review by Emily / (Posted on 8/26/2013)
I thought I'd get some for my grandkids and for my classroom. I opened the box to "try out" my class set and I've been playing with them while watching TV every evening. When I gave them to our son to take back to the grandkids he said "OOOOH!!! WIKKI STIX!!!... We've been wanting these!!!!" So I gave him a set too! They are fun. There's endless things you can create with them! They don't dry out or make messes. Best of all they can be used again and again! I'm Hooked! Review by Cindy / (Posted on 8/26/2013)
