WIth the Soundbeam 6 Big Band Kit, everyone can play and explore music any way they want no matter what their ability level. Everything you need for group work with up to twelve players is here, allowing users to create lots of different sounds using Soundbeam’s exciting presets. Kit comprises Soundbeam 6 touchscreen controller with four sensor beams and stands, eight wireless switches, loudspeakers and microphone.

Soundbeam 6 is simple to use and so easy to play using its completely new touch screen interface with quick and easy navigation of functions: Soundbeam 6 offers a truly multimedia experience. Extensive library of high-quality instrumental and sampled sounds, simplified record and compose functions, pre-loaded musical and themed setups, with linked film adding a visual accompaniment , an HDMI socket for large screen projection.

Soundbeam uses highly sensitive contact-free movement sensors to detect movement (big or small), and translate this into sounds, alongside tactile switches, providing an accessible interface for up to twelve participants – at any level of cognitive or physical ability – to play together as creative musicians.

Soundbeam 6 comes with many pre-programmed soundsets that range from tracks which allow the exploration and different genres like, blues, classical, to more improvisational soundscapes and other musical ways of playing. It's completely programmable so that the user can makes changes to personalise the soundsets and save them.

Preconfigured film, musical elements, instruments, scales, audio recordings, etc.are assigned to each beam and switch) these will be available to load via the Soundset tile page as pictured here below, each will have an image to identify it, and will also have a playable audio preview of how the Soundset sounds, once a soundset is selected / loaded the switches and beams can be auditioned (by moving your finger along the beam ‘illustration’ or pressing the switches ‘play button’)- and easily modified (editable options open when Beam icon or upper part of switch is pressed).
