The Aquatic Head Float makes aquatic therapy easier for individuals with reflex domination. No need to support the head manually, allowing the hands to be free. Superb cushioning design allows the head to rest without pressure on the spinal column, encouraging neutral positioning.
Independence for everyone within aquatic setting makes this truly a valuable aid. May also be customized, such as adding a beveled neck area for individuals with a short neck.
Freely supports the head of those with limited mobility without pressure on the spinal column.
The Head Float with optional 3' Mini Stabilizer bar helps keep the body from tipping backwards or sideways when legs are horizontal. When working with persons who may hyper-extend, tipping backwards or sideways, this combination Head Float & Mini Stabilizer Bar may help to keep the face out of the water. When someone is in a near vertical position, rotation and tipping doesn't usually present a problem. But when legs rise to a more horizontal position near the surface of the water to facilitate more efficient movement, such as when using Rings or Hydro Helpers, this problem can emerge.
This will work not only for swimmers with athoid Cerebral Palsy but also for those who roll sideways and backwards stretching and turning their heads when interacting with others. May also be customized, such as adding a beveled neck area for individuals with a short neck.
Caution: This product contains natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions. The Aquatic Head float is latex free; the Head Float with Stabilizer Bar contains latex.
